有邊讀邊，沒邊讀中間

請不必擔心怕我看不懂原文，而花很多時間與精力在手寫板上，想把它寫成中文給我看。這對你來說，是不可能的任務；對我來說，如此厚意，實在當不起。

很多極其簡單的英文單字，與他字連用後，意思完全走樣，就跟我們讀漢字，「有邊讀邊，沒邊讀中間」會誤讀一樣，光從這一個字，是看不懂它與他字連結在一起後的意思的。好比我看到 Poured Noodles，會誤以為是 Noodles 煮好後，將欲加的料澆上去一樣。

你的早飯 milk and noodle mixed ，查網路上的英漢字典，milk是 1.乳；牛奶 2. (植物或果實的) 乳汁, 乳液；noodle 是麵條。

你若說你的早飯只不過是牛奶（milk）加麵條（noodle）而已，我是會很失望的。

牛奶有很多種：冲泡的，保久的，新鮮的，全脂、低脂的，盒、瓶、桶裝的 ...

麵條有很多種：乾與現做的，粗與細的，拉麵（圓）與陽春麵（方），雞蛋麵與蔬菜麵 ...

mixed 這字比較沒爭議，不過不知是 milk 與 noodle 來 mix，還是 noodle 與其他什麼的來 mix？

實際上，milk 與 noodle 對西方人來講，它們的意義不像我們英漢字典講的那麽簡單。

milk 作為 noun，有三種釋義：

1. an opaque white or bluish-white liquid secreted by the mammary glands of female mammals, serving for the nourishment of their young.

2. this liquid as secreted by cows, goats, or certain other animals and used by humans for food or as a source of butter, cheeses, yogurt, etc.

3. any liquid resembling this, as the liquid within a coconut, the juice or sap of certain plants, or various pharmaceutical preparations.

noodle 作為 noun ，是指：

a narrow strip of unleavened egg dough that has been rolled thin and dried, boiled, and served alone or in soups, casseroles, etc.; a ribbon-shaped pasta.

希望你的回信能寫長一點，沒有適當的中國字可用，就用原文，反正我的字（詞）典很多，又有 Google 翻譯，不論是那國文字，在翻成中文後，起碼也能一知半解。
